Only 4km from the center of Polygyros, there is a wonderful forest of pine-trees, oak-trees and wild cedar-trees. It is a protected area for its fauna (wild boars, deer, hares, wolves, foxes, badgers etc.), within the limits of NATURA 2000. Because hunting is forbidden, the locals call it “katafygio” (which means “shelter” in Greek) from which we decided to borrow our name. Katafygio-village consists of the cafe bar and the furnished flats for rent in a cool and relaxing place were you can find your own “shelter”. We are waiting for you…
